Rachael Wager-LaCross
Youth Director-Garin, Gesher and ICETY

Rachael grew up at Temple Beth Tikvah, joining the Temple with her parents Sandy and Jay Wager in 1964. She was a member of the youth group when it was known as F.A.T.Y (Fullerton Area Temple Youth). She was president of the youth group as well as a songleader for SCFTY (now NFTY-SoCal). Rachael has also taught in our religious school. Rachael has enjoyed Jewish camping since she was 10 at such camps as Scotmar, Swig. Hess Kramer and Hilltop.

Rachael is an alumni of Cal State University Northridge (CSUN) and holds a double Bachelors in Religion and Political Science. While in college, Rachael taught in numerous religious schools, such as Leo Baeck and Temple Beth Torah. She also served as a youth advisor at Ramat Zion in Northridge, was a counselor for Havurat Noar in Los Angeles, and worked weekends at Brandeis Bardin and JCA, to name a few. Rachael spent her summers as a counselor, unit head and songleader at several local camps including Brandeis Bardin's Alonim and JCA Malibu.

Rachael reorganized our youth groups in 2001 with the help of numerous parents, including Lisa Brass and Lois Thall. ICETY owes their name to Lisa Brass, who diligently sat at one of the first ICETY board meetings in her home with the board of Lesli Brass, Michelle Spalter, Sara Locketz, Paul Gayron, Sammi Jass, Eric Van Raalte, and Rachael Thall. ICETY stands for Infectious Chavurah of Enthusatic Temple Youth. Thank you Lisa.
